Phoenix photographer persists in mission to capture all Frank Lloyd Wright structures

Of over 400 still standing, Pielage has made it to more than 100 sites

Scottsdale residents may be familiar with Frank Lloyd Wright’s residence and school at Taliesin West, but one Phoenix-based photographer has been pursuing a life-long project of visiting and taking photos of every Wright creation across the country.

Starting unofficially in 2011, Andrew Pielage has been working his way through the famed architect’s extensive portfolio of private residences, and of course publicly available spaces like Arizona’s Taliesin West.

Wright, during his illustrious career, built over 500 buildings with only around 400 still standing today.
