Phoenix pharmacies receive free N95 masks

Part of federal program to end COVID-19

The federal government is offering free masks as the transmissible Omicron variant of the coronavirus continues to tear through the community, and they’ve already begin to roll out in Phoenix pharmacies.

White House officials announced participants in the Federal Retail Pharmacy Program will distribute about 400 million free N95 surgical masks to people across the U.S. So, where you can find a COVID-19 vaccine or booster, you can also find a free mask. That includes pharmacies such as Walgreens and CVS Health, as well as local community health centers.

Monica Prinzing, a spokesperson for CVS Health, confi rmed that Valley-based locations of the pharmacy chain would be participating in the program.
