Phoenix homicide detectives said preliminary information suggests that a 19-year-old man shot his 54-year-old father this weekend before killing himself.
Preston Windus, 54, and Daniel Windus, 19, were found dead at a home near 40th Street and Sweetwater Avenue, police said.
Preston Windus was found was found Oct. 8 inside the house and, according to police, Daniel Windus was found dead in a vehicle outside the home after shooting himself.

“The investigation remains active as detectives continue to sift through evidence and await the findings from the Office of the Medical Examiner,” police said in a release.
