Phoenix Police Department detectives are investigating a fatal collision that happened Saturday night in west Phoenix involving an electric scooter.
The crash occurred about 7:40 p.m. Aug. 16 near 67th Avenue and Indian School Road.
Officers found Eden Cuautli Zacatelco, 59, who had been riding and electric scooter, unresponsive and in critical condition, according to a release. He was taken to a hospital where he died.

Phoenix Police Department detectives are investigating a fatal collision that happened Saturday night in west Phoenix involving an electric scooter.
The crash occurred about 7:40 p.m. Aug. 16 near 67th Avenue and Indian School Road.
Officers found Eden Cuautli Zacatelco, 59, who had been riding and electric scooter, unresponsive and in critical condition, according to a release. He was taken to a hospital where he died.
The driver of the other vehicle, which was described by witnesses as a black truck, fled the scene, police said.
Preliminary information suggests the victim was traveling west on Indian School Road riding the electric scooter when he was struck by the vehicle, police said.
