City pays $2.9M for drainage project in south Phoenix

The city of Phoenix is paying $2.86 million on a drainage project in its southern portion.

The contract for the Hohokam Drainage Program, approved by city council on Wednesday, March 25, will pay Entellus Inc. for engineering services at four locations near the Highline Canal and 16th Street.

“For too long, many of our communities have dealt with flooding, standing water and infrastructure challenges during monsoon season,” said Vice Mayor Kesha Hodge Washington, who represents District 8 where the drainage project is.
