Phoenix Open host annual Scottsdale golf party with tiny crowd

The view from the Waste Management Phoenix Open will be very different this year — with only a sliver of the usual crowd being allowed into TPC Scottsdale.

The Waste Management Phoenix Open takes place Feb. 3-7 in a much more subdued manner than its reputation as the People’s Open.

Records show the Phoenix Open drew 216,818 guests on a single Saturday in 2018, the latest records available. This year, attendance will be limited to 5,000 patrons because of COVID-19.
