Phoenix officials looking for public input on top cop hiring

Phoenix officials are asking for the public’s input on who they would like to see as the next chief of the Phoenix Police Department.

The city of Phoenix announced its three finalists for the city’s top cop on June 11. The finalists include: Malik Aziz, Matthew Giordano and Mirtha V. Ramos.

The community survey is available online until Monday, June 16, when a moderated public forum is scheduled in the Phoenix City Council Chambers, according to Dan Wilson, a spokesman for the city of Phoenix.
