Phoenix moves forward with affordable downtown housing construction

A 237-unit housing project reached a milestone last week when ground was broken for The Moreland in downtown Phoenix.

“Housing is the bedrock of human stability and a better future,” Vice Mayor Kesha Hodge Washington said.

“Projects like The Moreland show that when we invest in affordable housing, we honor our promise to ensure every resident has access to housing that is not only affordable but also dignified and rooted in opportunity.”
