U.S. ATTORNEY
Nine people have been charged with conspiracy to purchase firearms that federal authorities said were intended to be sent to “nefarious actors” in Mexico.
Jonathan Ventura Bravo, 32, of Phoenix, Marvin Agustin Teutle, 29, of Laveen, Jesus Roberto Corella Mares, 33, of Mesa and Rosario Agustin Teutle, 27, of Buckeye were among those charged with conspiracy to commit the offense of material false statement during the purchase of a firearm.
The complaint stated that between March 2020 and January 2024 the defendants acted to unlawfully acquire guns by making false representations to the firearms seller, according to a release from the Arizona district of the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
