Phoenix lottery ticket hits for $500K; Peoria winner claims $115K just in time

Two of the biggest Arizona Lottery wins announced by the state Wednesday were the result of tickets purchased in Phoenix and Peoria.
A Triple Bonus Crossword Scratchers ticket was worth $500,000 to the purchaser who bought it at 6701 W. Indian School Road in Phoenix.
Meantime, a Fantasy 5 winning ticket was claimed just before it was set to expire Sept. 8, officials said. The $115,000 winner was purchased at 7421 W. Thunderbird Road in Peoria.

There were more than $1 million in instant prizes of $1,000-plus won last week, according to the lottery.
