Phoenix looks for operator to run youth camp in Coconino County

Phoenix is looking for an operator to manage a youth camp located 145 miles north of the city.

Camp Colley, named after former Phoenix Parks and Recreation Director James A. Colley, is near Happy Jack, and its mission is to provide structured, supervised outdoor nature education and experiences to underserved “urban youth,” city officials said in a release.

“Camp Colley not only has a meaningful core mission but is also a perfect getaway summer camp with the space and amenities for many different types of camping experiences. The campgrounds include a dining hall, bath house, barn, equestrian area, remote camp site, solar panels and more,” the release stated.
