Phoenix landmark hotel sold, to be renovated

On Wednesday, it was announced the Pivotal Group purchased the Hilton Phoenix Resort at the Peak — near 16th Street and Northern Avenue in Phoenix, according to a press release. The resort, built near Piestewa Peak in 1977, is set to undergo a 2.5-year renovation.

A longtime Phoenix resort is about to get a new look.

On Wednesday the Pivotal Group announced it had purchased the Hilton Phoenix Resort at the Peak — near 16th Street and Northern Avenue in Phoenix.

The resort, built on Piestewa Peak in 1977, is set to undergo a 2.5-year renovation that should include new outdoor gathering and event space, a new pool and elevated spa and “complete renovation” of the resort’s more than 430 suite-style rooms, the press release stated.
