HOW TO NEGOTIATE

Phoenix is ready to talk money with you

A free financial webinar is scheduled for next week when participants will discuss how to “get what you’re worth.”

The City of Phoenix Equal Opportunity Department and the Phoenix Women's Commission are sponsoring "The Money Talk: How to Negotiate, Persuade & Get Paid What You're Worth” from noon to 1 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 25.

A recent study found that when offered a job, “most women are so grateful for the offer that they accept it without negotiating their salaries. It's time to flip the script and change that narrative,” organizers said in a release.

Topics include:

  • How to identify old patterns of thinking that could sabotage the negotiation process.
  • How to create a new money story that increases confidence in having uncomfortable conversations.
  • A powerful, collaborative, step-by-step framework for negotiations.
