FOUND:RE Phoenix Hotel and FOUND:RE Contemporary, located at 1100 N. Central Ave., will debut their newest exhibition, “Black & White,” with support by Artlink Inc.

This exhibit presents the work of Arizona artists who explore the interplay of black and white, using these two contrasting hues to create captivating visual experiences.

The exhibition debuts Friday, Aug 4 with an opening reception from 6 to 9 p.m. It will remain on display in the first-floor gallery of FOUND:RE Phoenix Hotel through Sunday, Oct. 29.

“It is our ongoing mission to provide a platform for Arizona artists to present their work through unique themes and exhibitions,” says Chris Genung, FOUND:RE Phoenix Hotel general manager. “We think the contrast of an entirely black and white display of art will be visualizing stunning and invite artists to tap into creativity that goes beyond the use of color.”

The exhibition will showcase artworks that delve into the rich tonal and textural possibilities of black and white, exploring the dynamics between light and shadow, form and composition as well as the contrasting emotions evoked by these timeless hues. The majority of works will be for sale and patrons can preview the prices online at foundrecontemporary.com.

Submissions for this exhibition are being accepted through Friday, June 30.

Located in the Roosevelt Row Arts district, FOUND:RE Contemporary is a part of every First and Third Friday Artwalk.
