Phoenix hopes new online resident survey will help build public trust in police

Phoenix Police is beginning to use a new online survey that city officials believe will help to build public trust in the department.

The anonymous survey, called Blockwise from the company Zencity, will digitally advertise to Phoenix residents on websites, social media and other apps to learn what their concerns are about public safety in their area and what their views of the Phoenix Police Department are.

“One thing that we’ve been striving for… is wanting to build that trust within the community, to be able to fill those gaps given the issues and the challenges that we’ve had in the last couple of years,” Councilmember Betty Guardado said during last week’s Public Safety and Justice Subcommittee meeting.
