The former home of Arizona’s third governor took a step toward being placed on the National Register of Historic Places.
The Phoenix Historic Preservation Commission on Monday approved a Certified Local Government review of the former home of Gov. John C. Phillips, who was in office 1929-31, and his wife Minnie.
By approving the review, the city is agreeing that the property is eligible for the National Register of Historic Places and that the federal government’s documentation is accurate and complete, though Phoenix staff did make a few small edits.
