Water is in high demand, and Phoenix is looking for employees to help meet the need.

The Phoenix Water Services Department has job opportunities and has scheduled a hiring event for Friday, May 12, to fill several roles.

Those interested should visit from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. at Desert West Community Center, 6501 W. Virginia, Phoenix

The city is looking to fill a number of jobs within the Water/Wastewater Distribution Division and the Water Meter Division for utility technician trainees and water service technicians.

From 8-11 a.m., the utility technician trainees will be the focus, and from noon to 3 p.m. the water service technicians will be interviewed.

According to the city, interested candidates are encouraged to have a City of Phoenix application on file.

Walk-in candidates can fill an application onsite with iPads or laptops that will be available for use.
