Phoenix funding to boost schools, nonprofits

The city of Phoenix is doing its part to help students return to normalcy come fall.

The Phoenix City Council approved on July 1 additional grant funding for Phoenix schools to implement free or affordable after- school programs, and for local nonprofits to offer youth sports leagues to vulnerable communities after over a year of pandemic- related closures.
