Moran was known not only for his commitment to the fire service, but also for the way he led — by example, with integrity, humility and care for those around him. Colleagues remembered him as a trusted mentor, a steady presence on the scene of calls, and a friend who could always be counted on in moments of challenge or need.

Beyond his professional achievements, Captain Moran was a devoted father to his three children. The department extended its deepest condolences to Moran’s family, and to his many friends as they navigate this profound loss. Supporting them with compassion and care remains a top priority for the department and the broader fire service family.
