Phoenix city offices to close Friday for Veterans Day

Most Phoenix city services will be closed Nov. 10 in observance of Veterans Day.

One service not affected will be curbside trash and recycling collection. Collections will take place as scheduled, city officials said.

Phoenix city offices to close Friday for Veterans Day

Most Phoenix city services will be closed Nov. 10 in observance of Veterans Day.

One service not affected will be curbside trash and recycling collection. Collections will take place as scheduled, city officials said.

Here’s what to expect:

Transfer Stations: Both the 27th Avenue and North Gateway transfer stations will be closed and reopen Nov. 11.

Public Works Customer Contact Center: The center will be closed for the holiday.

Library: All Phoenix Public Library locations will be closed Saturday, Nov. 11.

Parking Meters: All parking meters are enforced 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, including weekends and holidays.   

Parks and Recreation Facilities: City of Phoenix community centers will be closed Nov. 10.  Parks and trails will be open.    

S'edav Va'aki Museum: Closed for the holiday. 

Public Transit: Both bus and light rail will operate on a weekday schedule Nov. 10. These transit center customer service windows will be closed: Central Station, Ed Pastor, Metrocenter and Sunnyslope.

Dial-a-Ride service will be available, by reservation, between 4:40 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Sky Harbor International Airport: City officials said the airport continues to see record numbers of passengers – arrive early.
