Phoenix city leaders tout ‘unprecedented growth’ of city’s bioscience industry since 2019

Phoenix City Council members touted the success of the city’s rapidly growing bioscience industry as they voted to provide another year of supportive funding.

“It’s supporting associations like this that help us further the research of what is needed in order to be proactive and combat some of the diseases we’re facing today,” said Councilmember Laura Pastor during last week’s Economic Development and the Arts Subcommittee meeting.

The subcommittee unanimously voted to approve a $130,000 budget for the Bioscience Healthcare Strategic Initiative.
