The Phoenix City Council settled a $2 million wrongful death lawsuit during its regularly scheduled city council meeting last week.
The lawsuit alleged Phoenix Fire Department officials advised against transporting a 2-year-old boy to the hospital who was suffering a seizure in 2022, according to the civil complaint from Maricopa County Superior Court.
The boy’s mother, Adriana Merriam Moore, was advised by fire officials “further medical evaluation of (the boy) was neither recommended nor necessary at the time of the incident on April 14, 2022, the lawsuit stated.
