Phoenix business leaders try to understand scope of Trump tariffs

The threat of tariffs is creating market confusion and uncertainty for one multifamily developer in the Valley.

Gorman and Co. Inc. is waiting to hear what the tariffs are actually going be on which products to determine what, exactly, the impacts will be to the business, said Brian Swanton, president and CEO of Gorman and Co. Inc.
President Donald Trump has discussed implementing tariffs on everything from automobiles to electronics such as laptops and cell phones since he took office in January.
