Former Harley-Davidson headquarters in Phoenix seeks historic designation

Portion of building date to 1909, has had several uses

A more than century-old downtown Phoenix building that was once a local Harley-Davidson headquarters is seeking a historic preservation overlay from the city of Phoenix.

The building, at 10 E. Jackson St., is a block west of the Mortgage Matchup Center, where the Suns and Mercury play.

A small portion of the building was built in 1909 with one addition in 1920 and another in 1945. The property owner is Brad Jannenga, who plans to turn the historic building into the headquarters of his business, Bonafide Beef.
