Phoenix blues festival to pay tribute to Koko Taylor

Blues Blast will bring music, vendors all day and night at The Rhythm Room

The Blues Blast Music Festival is heading to Phoenix, and with it a tribute to Koko Taylor.

Phoenix Blues Society announced that event will take place Saturday, Nov. 4, at The Rhythm Room, 1019 E. Indian School Road, in Phoenix. The festival will be both outside in the parking lot as well as inside The Rhythm Room.

Gates open at 10 a.m. with music starting at 11.

The day and evening of blues music will pay tribute to Taylor. The 11-time Grammy winner died in 2009.

Blues music fans will enjoy a day filled with music, plus vendors, both inside and outside.
