One of the most memorable bands ever to rule Phoenix dance floors is coming back for a one-night concert.

Zúm Zúm Zúm, with Zarco and Carmen Guerrero back at the musical helm, is reuniting several original members and adding some new faces to the band’s historically noteworthy lineup of great Arizona musicians. They will perform at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18 at Crescent Ballroom, 308 N. 2nd Ave., in downtown Phoenix.

The evening promises to feature the musical influences this group created back in the 80s and 90s, including flavors of Mexican, Brazilian, jazz, reggae and rock and roll.

“Not only will the old and new fans get to see the nostalgic lineup as well as great musicians, they will hear all new original music by the band,” Zarco Guerrero shared in a press release. “People have been asking for a band reunion for decades. I wanted to put the band back together to showcase old and new music."

“Baila con los Muertos” at the Calaca Cafe at Crescent Ballroom, will party with eight-foot dancing calaca puppets and cui cui troublemakers, for a fundraiser concert and fiesta that features a musical line-up of Chicano, Mexicano, Afro-Caribbean, and global rhythms from some of the Valley’s favorite bands.

Supported by Enparoxismo, Power Drive Band, DJ Sunny Z, and QVLN, all funds raised benefit Cultural Coalition, a 501c3 nonprofit.

Tickets available at crescentphx.com.
