Adding to the holidays, Phoenix Ballet, along with dancers from Master Ballet Academy, will present “A Holiday Spectacular, The Nutcracker” in December in downtown Phoenix.

The four shows will also feature viral ballet industry influencers on stage, plus live music from the 57-piece Chandler Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Vanja Nikolovski.

There will be shows at 3 and 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14 and then at 1 and 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15 at Arizona Financial Theatre, 400 W. Washington St.

The holiday show will be in two acts and will last two hours (including intermission), making it ideal for audience members ages 5 and up. “A Holiday Spectacular, The Nutcracker” is the beloved holiday classic “The Nutcracker” danced to the famous Tchaikovsky score.

"Given the turnout we had last year with over 19,000 in attendance, we're thrilled to be in such a grand venue as the Arizona Financial Theatre,” Phoenix Ballet Artistic Director Slawomir Woźniak shared in a press release. “Because we are in an entirely new space this year, I updated the sets, costumes and choreography to make this the largest and most magical production I have ever created.”

Master Ballet Academy, the official school of Phoenix Ballet, is located in Scottsdale.
