Valley colleges see demand rise for campus health services

2021 booming after slower 2020

College campuses offering health services to their student population and faculty members are experiencing high demand at a time when many are short-staffed, along the same lines as hospitals in the Valley.

While 2020 was an odd year for college campuses, with students turning to remote learning as the virus began to spread, college health providers are busier than ever thanks to the community’s newfound respect for their health.

“This year, we’re on track to almost double what we did last year,” said Connie Colbert, director of the Canyon Health and Wellness Clinic at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix.
