Phoenix City Council appointed Wilbur N. Hudson as the city’s new chief presiding judge of the Phoenix Municipal Court on Wednesday.
Hudson brings more than three decades of legal experience to the job, including the last 12 years on the bench. He had several members of his family on hand for his swearing in by Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego during Wednesday’s council meeting.
“We’re pleased for today’s milestone,” Gallego said after the appointment. She pointed out that Phoenix is the fifth largest city in the nation.
