A fire Friday night at a three-story apartment complex has left about 25 people without homes, authorities said.
Firefighters were dispatched about 6:45 p.m. May 8 to 25th Avenue and Ocotillo Road where they found the complex on fire. There was heavy smoke and fire coming from a tree that had extended to an apartment building, according to a Phoenix Fire Department release.
About 25 apartments were affected, and 10 were occupied at the time. A total of about 25 people will be displaced, “and thankfully all were able to get out of the building before fire crews arrived on scene,” the release stated.
