Phoenix apartment complex bought by Washington company

A Washington-based apartment complex owner has bought a 497-unit Phoenix complex.

Kirkland, Washington-based Weidner Apartment Homes paid an undisclosed amount for the Desert Club Apartments, 6901 E. Chauncey Lane just east of the Phoenix-Scottsdale border.

The property features primarily garden-style units in 21 two- and three-story buildings on the more than 21-acre site. It was built in 2004. The average unit size is 983 square feet among the one-, two- and three-bedroom models, the company said in a press release.

The property features primarily garden-style units in 21 two- and three-story buildings on the more than 21-acre site. It was built in 2004. The average unit size is 983 square feet among the one-, two- and three-bedroom models, the company said in a press release.

The community has seen several recent renovations for modernized common areas and apartment interiors.

Weidner has apartment complexes in 13 states, including Arizona, and four Canadian provinces.
