Phoenix and East, West Valley cities sign antitrust action against fire truck firms

PHOENIX - High prices, delivery delays and alleged monopolistic market control by fire truck manufacturers have Arizona cities and fire districts seeing red.

Seven Arizona cities have signed a national antitrust class action against fire truck manufacturers and private equity firms. The list  includes Tucson, Phoenix, Tempe, Gilbert, Scottsdale, Mesa and Peoria.

Now the state's fire districts, with the help of the attorney general, are considering legal action, too.
