Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport director attains national accreditation

Phoenix Sky Harbor’s aviation services director has earned accreditation from a national association that recognizes executives who meet specific requirements in managing public airports.

Chad R. Makovsky received the distinction of Accredited Airport Executive by the American Association of Airport Executives.

He had to complete three phases of the accreditation process that included demonstrating, in a final interview by an AAE panel, “his knowledge of airport management, business administration and general transportation economics,” according to a release.

Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport director attains national accreditation

Phoenix Sky Harbor’s aviation services director has earned accreditation from a national association that recognizes executives who meet specific requirements in managing public airports.

Chad R. Makovsky received the distinction of Accredited Airport Executive by the American Association of Airport Executives.

He had to complete three phases of the accreditation process that included demonstrating, in a final interview by an AAE panel, “his knowledge of airport management, business administration and general transportation economics,” according to a release.

The program has been accrediting airport executives for 68 years with fewer than 8% of AAAE’s members throughout the country attaining the statues, the release stated.
