Philip A. Lahr, a longtime resident of Sun City West, AZ, and Palo Alto, CA passed away peacefully on July 29, 2017 at the age of 94. Born on January 14, 1923, in Indianapolis, IN, he was the middle child of Dr. Howard and Ruth Lahr of Mishawaka, IN.Dr. Lahr married Elaine Schneider on July 3, 1959.He received his BS and MD degrees from the Indiana University. Later, he served in the U.S. Army in Japan, Korea and Germany. He joined the Palo Alto Medical Clinic where he practiced anesthesiology from 1962-1983. After retirement he and Elaine moved to Arizona in 1990 where he was active in lawn bowling and PRIDES. Dr. Lahr is survived by his wife of 58 years, Elaine; four children, Deborah Lahr Lawlor (John) of Boca Raton, FL, David Lahr of San Diego, CA, Adrienne Lahr Johnson (Terry) of Florence, AZ, and Gary Lahr of Sammamish, WA; and four grandchildren, Katharine and Evan, Jessica and Kyle. There will be no funeral service.
