A petition on change.org is calling for the removal of the Turning Point USA chapter at Saguaro High School in the Scottsdale Unified School District.
The petition, which had 545 signers as of noon Nov. 13, calls on the school and the district to remove the group from campus.
“Our school has recently approved the formation of a Turning Point USA chapter,” the petition stated. “While every student has the right to their own political beliefs, no club should be allowed to promote hate, division or discrimination under the guise of ‘religious’ or ‘political’ values."
