Perry B. Ramentol

SUN CITY - Perry B. Ramentol passed away Friday, Feb. 10, 2017. Perry was born in New York City, N.Y., on Jan. 18, 1925, to Perry Berago and Estella Hernandez Ramentol. Upon completing high school, Perry joined the Army Air Force in 1942 serving as a veteran during WWII in the Aleutian Islands of Alaska. He married Jean C. Brandon on June 28, 1947, and was married for 57 years until her passing in July 2004. During his civilian life, Perry was an electronic engineer for 30+ years with Tasker Whitaker company until his retirement. Retirement did not slow him down as he was an active bowler with the Sun City Bowling Association and Tai Chi. He served as league president and also was inducted in the Sun City bowling Hall of Fame in 2012. Perry enjoyed most all sports, but especially baseball. He also was a table tennis player winning a gold medal in the Senior Olympics in Sun City during the late 1990's/early 2000 year. His passion also included music and dancing. He was an avid organ and piano player.Perry was predeceased by his wife, Jean C. Ramentol; daughter, Rayna Jean Ramentol; brother-in-law, Ray Brandon. He is survived by his daughter, Laura Lee Kroener (Bob), of Sun City; grandchildren, Anthony Blinn (Susan), of Everett, Wash., Traci Blinn (Reese) of Surprise, and Michael Blinn, of Phoenix; seven great-grandchildren, Brandon Blinn, of Everett, Wash., Tyler Blinn, of Phoenix, Trevor Blinn, of Phoenix, Rylee, Loryn, Chloe and Emeri Elliston, of Surprise; sister, Carmen Solheim, of Oak Harbor, Wash.; nieces, Dianne Ramentol Krouse (Russ), of Sun City, Raquel Merriman, of White Rock, Canada, and Valerie Sutherland (Marty), of Prescott. He also leaves behind an extended family and many friends who will cherish his memory. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes contributions to Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States in memory of Perry. A celebration of life event will be held Sunday, Feb. 26, 2017, from 1 to 3 p.m., at Lakeview Lanes Bowling, 10502 W. Thunderbird Blvd., Sun City, AZ 85351.Inurnment services will be held at Sunland Memorial Park on Friday, Mar. 17, 2017, at 11 a.m., with military honors.
