Perdita Lu Runkle

Perdita Lu Runkle, 86 SUN CITY - Perdita Lu Runkle, 86, of Sun City, died Thursday at Boswell Memorial Hospital in Sun City. Perdita was born in Omaha, Neb., and had lived and raised her family in Cheyenne, Wy., since 1954 until retiring and moving to Sun City in 1989. She was married to long time Cheyenne school teacher, Dean Edward Runkle, who had passed away 16 years earlier. She held executive secretary positions for a variety of organizations in Cheyenne, including F.E. Warren Air Force Base, Montgomery Wards, and the Cheyenne Teachers Education Association. She was also an active member of her condo association in Sun City. She is survived by her son, Raymond Runkle of Glendale, Ariz. and his wife Ruthi Runkle; her daughter, Sheri L. Hoble of Margate, Fla. and her husband Dwayne; and one grandson, Andrew Runkle. A memorial service was held Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2010, at Sunland Lakeside Chapel, 15826 Del Webb Blvd., Sun City, AZ 85351.
