Peoria will host public safety night for residents

Safety education – and fun – on tap

The annual G.A.I.N. Public Safety Night will make its way back to Peoria.

G.A.I.N. (Getting Arizonans Involved in Neighborhoods) started in 1998 as a cooler weather alternative to National Night Out, which is in August. The event is designed to bring the Peoria community together to promote family fun and safety education.

The event goes from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7 at Pioneer Community Park, 8755 N. 83rd Ave.

The annual G.A.I.N. Public Safety Night will make its way back to Peoria.

G.A.I.N. (Getting Arizonans Involved in Neighborhoods) started in 1998 as a cooler weather alternative to National Night Out, which is in August. The event is designed to bring the Peoria community together to promote family fun and safety education.

The event goes from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7 at Pioneer Community Park, 8755 N. 83rd Ave.

Peoria’s Police and Fire-Medical departments will be represented on site.

Kids get the chance to get an up-close look at police cars, fire trucks, specialty emergency vehicles and equipment. Safety organizations will also be out with displays offering to show how to keep you and your family safe.

There will also be free bouncy activities, face painting and other kid friendly activities.

This event is free to all residents.
