Peoria Unified Superintendent KC Somers is resigning from his position after nearly two years of service to take a position in Colorado.
The governing board approved a motion to provide direction to legal counsel to modify Somers’ employment contract. The modified contract will be considered by the board during a future meeting.
Somers said he will work with the governing board to develop mutually agreed upon modifications to his contract, including establishing an appropirate transition timeline to conclude his service with anticiapted last day of June 1. He said his current contract agreement remains in full force until then.
