Peoria Unified reports 120 COVID-19 cases since first day of school

Nearly 650 people recommended for quarantine

As the Peoria Unified School District moves into its second full week of school, there has been a rising number of cases at school sites throughout the district, as well as across the city.

There have been 120 cumulative cases on campuses since Aug. 4 and 106 cases with campus exposure Aug. 9-13.

Across the city, there has been an increase of about 11% since the beginning of June, and 19% since the beginning of April.
