Peoria Unified prohibits literature works based on ‘No DEI’ policy

Policy was approved by school board last year

Three books have been banned from use in teaching grade 6-8 students in Peoria Unified School District classrooms under a “No DEI” policy approved by the governing board last year.

And not everybody is happy about it.

The recent launch of the district’s English language arts curriculum has caused a stir among some teachers and parents.
