Peoria Unified looks to put bond on 2024 ballot

Voters have not approved a bond since 2012

The Peoria Unified School District will jump back on the horse in the coming year and try to get a bond on the ballot for the 2024 November general election.

The school board unanimously approved reconvening the 2023 Citizens’ Advisory Committee to evaluate the need for a bond and/or override election next year. A recommendation would include associated amounts and percentages.

Items expected to be on the recommendation: school improvements; student, staff and district-wide technology needs; student bus, transportation and vehicle needs; land for a new high school; new elementary school construction; and new high school construction.
