With community connectedness a focus in the district’s strategic plan, Peoria Unified is gearing up to host its second field trip to an elementary school.

This interactive event will take place from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 7 at Lake Pleasant Elementary, located at 31501 N. Westland Road, in Peoria. The field trip is an opportunity for elected officials, local business owners, community members and prospective parents to network and tour one of Peoria Unified’s schools and programs.

Guests will be welcomed with a light breakfast and registration from 8:30 to 9 a.m. Then, district and school leaders will kick off the event with news, school information and what to expect to see on the tour of Lake Pleasant.

Attendees will be led by student leaders in an out of active classrooms around the campus. Guests will have the opportunity to meet with students and teachers to get a feel of what it is like to be a Peoria Unified student.

Concluding the event, guests will reconvene to discuss all the experiences they had during the field trip.

Any individual interested in attending this event must reserve a space at www.peoriaunified.org/fallfieldtrip or by calling 623-486-6100.
