Peoria Unified inches closer to virtual learning

2 out of 3 benchmarks in substantial category

In the wake of increased COVID-19 cases and certain benchmarks reaching high levels, Peoria Unified School District officials are preparing to return to virtual learning throughout the district if needed.

Data from the Maricopa County Department of Public Health shows that as of last week, the district is in the red in two of the three benchmarks — cases and percent positive.

When all three benchmarks are in the red, or substantial category, guidance directs schools to prepare for virtual learning.
