Peoria Unified hosts bus driver interest meeting

The Peoria Unified School District is hosting a bus driver interest meeting any time from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday, May 9, at the Peoria Unified Transportation Office, 10721 N. 95th Ave.

This meeting is to engage with those who are passionate about making an impact for our future generation and looking to join a team of highly qualified driving professionals.

At the bus driver interest meeting, interviews will be conducted on-site. Peoria Unified’s human resources team and the transportation training team will be at the event to assist with questions.

The district's drivers are responsible for getting children to and from school as well as driving on field trips, to compete in the big game and more. This school year, the transportation team has logged more than 1.9 million collective miles.

Peoria Unified is prepared to support new bus drivers from obtaining their CDL to continued growth opportunities. With the support of bus drivers and assistants, PUSD students can reach their full potential.
