Peoria Unified considers bond for 2023 general election

District committee reconvenes to consider needs

Just as the final vote counts are being completed for the 2022 election, the Peoria Unified School District is considering a bond for the 2023 general election.

The governing board has unanimously agreed to reconvening the Citizens’ Advisory Committee to analyze the need for a future bond election.

PUSD CFO Michelle Myers said although the district is funded by the state, Arizona law and the legislature allows public school districts to ask voters to approve bond authorizations through local property taxes.
