Peoria Unified announces face masks to be optional

New measure will be effective May 24

Face masks will be optional inside and outside on all Peoria Unified School District campuses and facilities for students, staff and visitors, beginning May 24.

Superintendent Jason Reynolds said in a letter to parents and staff it is important to understand that public health experts continue to encourage mask wearing as an important tool to reduce the spread of COVID-19.
