Peoria to receive more rent from cell tower lessee

Contract extended for structure at sports complex

The city renewed its agreement with the company leasing a cell tower structure at Peoria Sports Complex, upping its annual rental rate.

The city renewed its agreement with Crown Atlantic Company, the current lessee of tower, who will now pay $48,000 per year, according to a staff report.

The old contract will expire this year.
