TheaterWorks in Peoria will present “Mary Poppins” for the second MainStage production of the 2023-24 season.
The show will run from Sept. 1 through Sept 17 in the Gyder Theater at the Peoria Center for the Performing Arts, 10580 N. 83rd Drive.
“TheaterWorks is excited about the abundance of local talent in ‘Mary Poppins.’ The cast is made up of familiar faces to the TheaterWorks stages and many faces that we have not yet had the privilege to work with yet,” C.W. McMillin Executive Director Chris Hamby shared in a statement. “With each new production, our theatre family grows and we are honored that they choose to spend their time and talents with us.”
The family favorite musical is based on the books and the classic Walt Disney film.
This production is directed by Hamby with music direction by Ken Goodenberger and choreography by Paul Pedersen.
The 2023-24 season marks the 38th season for TheaterWorks, which produces full seasons of theater (Main Stage series), youth theater (Youth Works), youth education camps and classes (Theater Alive and SummerWorks) and more.
