Peoria takes steps in possibility of securing more water

Will participate in Bartlett Dam study

Peoria has taken a step toward the possibility of securing more water sources for future use.

City Council approved an agreement with Salt River Project to share costs for a feasibility study to modify Bartlett Dam.

The study, previously approved by the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, will look into increasing the height of Bartlett Dam by as much as 97 feet, which would capture more renewable surface water for cities like Peoria and the surrounding Valley.
